Today’s NaBloPoMo prompt is “What is the luckiest thing that’s ever happened to you, and why?”
I think the luckiest thing that’s ever happened to me is that I was born in a country that has a national health service. If I hadn’t been, I either may not have survived beyond a few (if the facilities to treat me hadn’t been available at all) or my parents would have had to constantly worry about how to pay for my treatment, tests, etc., the cost of which I suspect has run into hundreds of thousands of pounds by now, if not more.
Yes, thank goodness for the national health service. I have had cause to be grateful for it as well, on several occasions.
I am trying to think of the luckiest thing that has happened to me. It is quite hard to decide because sometimes I don’t realise occasions when I have been lucky.
I suppose a lot of it is being in the right place at the right time. But there could have been occasions when I have been unlucky but just don’t know it
