I finally finished the very green scarf I was making. It took a while, and even now it’s probably not as long as it should be. I stopped making it partially to save some wool so I could make the other half of a pair of green gloves I started ages ago, and partly because I was just fed up of knitting the same thing for so long! I know, no staying power! Anyway, here is the scarf:
I’m planning to give it to my mum as a late birthday present. Fortunately, she likes green! At the moment, I’m knitting a rose to make into a brooch to pin to the scarf, so it can be worn as a sort of shawl – mainly because it’s not really long enough to wrap around very much. I hope you can see the pattern. I think it looks a bit like leaves and caterpillars – hence its name (well, that and because it is very green).
