I was planning to make a version of Cotton Seeds, by Michelle Dupont – a nice long, but light-ish, scarf for spring. But then, it turned out I didn’t have the correct sized circular needles, so I thought I would turn the pattern round and cast on 47 stitches and knit 201 rows – and not knit in the round. But then, of course, because I’m using smaller-sized needles and therefore thinner yarn, I actually have to knit many more rows to make my scarf nice and long. As the name of the wool colour is “Royal” I thought I would make it a ‘Jubilee Scarf’ and knit 600 rows (for the 60 years). So far I have done 150. This could take some time.

Yes, Jubilee scarf is a good name – very appropriate. Only 450 rows to go!
Have just looked up the cotton seeds scarf and like the look of it. I am not able to wear wool next to my skin (allergic) but a nice soft light cotton scarf sounds very comfortable.
The one I’m making isn’t made of real wool – it’s 100% acrylic! (Much cheaper!)
