I came across another Emily Gravett book today. This time, it was Wolves, and I think I might like it even more than I liked The Rabbit Problem, mainly because it features a library in a minor role. There is also a rabbit and a wolf. As you can probably imagine, it doesn’t end well – at least not for the rabbit.

Rabbit borrows a book from a library to try and find out about wolves, and learns quite a few interesting facts about wolves before…erm…the end. So, like The Rabbit Problem, Wolves is educational as well as fun. If you are a person of a particularly sensitive nature, or you have a child who is such a person, you may be relieved to learn that there is an alternative, non-violent, ending, involving the sharing of jam sandwiches. This is probably not very realistic, but it is rather sweet.
